Fernando Vannier Borges
Speaker Bio:
Fernando Vannier Borges is a researcher at University of Coimbra Institute for Legal Research where he is also member of the board. In his present work, his main problem is how to lead UCILeR into the path of excellence in research, producing quality and impactful outputs with international recognition. European projects are among the priorities for research development and funding. He has an interdisciplinary formation in Communication and Media Studies (PhD in Communication Studies from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II); Master Degree in Communication and Journalism from Universidade de Coimbra; and a Degree in Comunication and Journalism from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro) combined with a broad international professional experience (Brazil, Portugal, France, Cape Verde) and as participant in different scientific events, he has development a critical perspective on research organizations, research assessment and project management.
