Charlotte Pearce
Speaker Bio:
Charlotte Pearce is the Impact and Engagement Coordinator at the University of Lincoln. She works within a small team of two, alongside the Impact Support Officer, to lead the University’s preparations for REF 2029. Together, they coordinate the development, review, and support of impact case studies, as well as promote and embed a culture of impact across the institution. Charlotte joined the newly formed Impact Team in September 2023 as an Impact Support Officer, having no previous experience in research impact. Initially part of a team of five, she soon found herself as the sole member of the team, responsible for managing and coordinating the institution’s internal impact review process. Despite the challenges, this period provided an opportunity to develop her skills and knowledge in research impact and to take on a leadership role in supporting researchers across the University. In early 2025, Charlotte was promoted to the Impact and Engagement Coordinator position. She now manages the Impact Support Officer and leads on strategic engagement with academic colleagues to strengthen the University’s impact portfolio. Her focuses are on fostering collaboration and ensuring that the impact activities colleagues undertake achieve meaningful outcomes in the real world. Charlotte is also a two-time graduate of the University of Lincoln, having earned a BA in History in 2018 and an MA in Historical Studies in 2020.
