Angela Baker
Speaker Bio:
Angela Baker is Director of the European Projects Department at INRAE Transfert, the private technology transfer subsidiary of the French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE). For the past six years, she has been leading a team of 30 project managers and consultants in supporting INRAE researchers and their international partners in setting up and managing large-scale collaborative European research and innovation projects—from project design to exploitation planning. Angela began her career in education in both the UK and France before moving into innovation management consulting over 25 years ago. She has since supported researchers across a wide range of fields: education and culture, transport, and emerging technologies at ARTTIC; human health as Director of European Affairs at Inserm Transfert; and currently, food, agriculture, and the environment at INRAE. She also ran her own consultancy for three years and taught at Université Paris-Est Creteil. Angela has a long-standing interest in ensuring that research results are impactful and reach their target audiences. With her team, she built a proposal set-up methodology based on design-thinking principles and is currently piloting a visual approach to defining and monitoring impact pathways.
