Adam Lockwood
Speaker Bio:
Adam Lockwood is a Senior Insight and Evaluation Manager at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), where he leads and manages the Impact function for NIHR Southampton Coordinating Centre. In this role, he coordinates the delivery of impact products and research impact assessments, ensuring alignment with NIHR’s mission and strategy. He oversees multiple high-quality analytical projects, including impact assessments, portfolio analysis, and evaluations, to support NIHR and Department of Health and Social Care decision-making. Adam is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with senior NIHR and DHSC colleagues to deliver a comprehensive NIHR Impact Strategy. His expertise extends to hybrid working across Business Intelligence/Data and Research Programme teams, equipping them with the skills and tools to assess and evidence NIHR impact. With an evaluation background, Adam also has significant experience in the evaluation of health initiatives and interventions. In his current role he supports the coordination of programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning development activities and distinct programme evaluations. Prior to his current role, Adam, worked in Local Authority Public Health Practice, as a Programme Manager overseeing public health interventions and supporting the implementation of evaluation frameworks and evaluation delivery.
