Speaker Bio:
With a strong background in health project management and policy engagement, Tran is passionate about improving communication and collaboration among stakeholders in the health sector. In her current role at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU), she manages OUCRU’s policy engagement portfolio in Vietnam, facilitating partnerships with key policy stakeholders, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant entities for research impact. Tran oversees the activities of OUCRU's Vietnam Policy Stakeholder Advisory Board (OUCRU Infectious Diseases Research and Policy Discussion Forum), provides consultation and organises training for researchers, and conducts policy research and analysis to inform engagement practices. She has over seven years of experience in project management for philanthropy and healthcare projects, engaging with key stakeholders across various sectors in Vietnam, Singapore, the UK, and beyond. She is actively involved with non-profit organisations and networks such as Saigon Children’s Charity and the Global Mental Health Action Network, contributing to efforts to enhance educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam and advocating for the improvement of mental health services worldwide. As a founding member of the Awesome Foundation Singapore, she managed micro-philanthropic initiatives to support innovative projects in the region. An awardee of the Singapore Scholarship from the Government of Singapore, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (with a minor in Psychology) from the National University of Singapore.
