Ruth Jobling is Senior Manager for Global Research at Brooke: Action for Working Horses and Donkeys, where she co-leads the organisation’s global research strategy. With over a decade of experience in the INGO sector, Ruth has led multi-country research collaborations, developed strategic plans, and facilitated international workshops to build research capacity and foster learning. She focuses on delivering research for meaningful change, ensuring that evidence informs programming and advocacy for working equids and the communities that rely on them. Ruth’s research background is in horse behaviour and welfare and human behaviour change, complemented by Master’s level credits in science communication and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education. Ruth has authored peer-reviewed publications and led initiatives to increase the visibility and uptake of research findings across diverse audiences. Ruth is passionate about embedding impact from the outset of research design and works closely with stakeholders to ensure findings are accessible, ethical, and influential. At this conference, she brings insights into how INGOs can plan for and deliver research impact in complex global contexts, and how collaborative, evidence-led approaches can drive lasting change.
