Speaker Bio:
Dr Rebecca Thompson is EIT food’s impact specialist; a role that combines 17 years of collaboration across commercial innovation, education and policy sectors. Her work utilises financial, environmental and social sustainability data to inform future strategic thinking and funding considerations, back up claims made, create stakeholder engagement, generate evidence and reduce inequalities. She develops impact frameworks, monitoring, evaluation and learning plans, theory of change models and indicators that track outcomes in the short, medium and long-term as well as providing advice concerning Social Return On Investment, Life Cycle Assessment, sustainability certification, regenerative agriculture, impact case studies, proposal development, AI tools, automated data collection and enrichment activities. She has also created various impact support tools for potential beneficiaries and is part of the programme assessment working group. Being a mother to ten-year old twins, she is very familiar with the challenges of addressing multiple needs at once and the benefits of open sharing of knowledge.
