Alison Hope is the Regional Manager for Northern Europe at Karger. Her focus during the past 25 years has been academic publishing and the European library market. She has a consistent track record of building sustainable commercial relationships and of successfully negotiating national licenses and consortia agreements. In recent years, she has been involved in Karger’s move towards supporting research impact, looking at the impact of research beyond traditional journals. In 2022, Karger acquired a creative studio in the Southwest of England that specialises in the communication and dissemination of scientific research through animations and podcasts, making research accessible to non-academic audiences including funders, policy-makers, industry partners and the general public. Based in central London, Alison regularly travels around Europe.
